News Team
As a news reporter, you will have the opportunity to write news articles relating to ANU student life, on and off campus. News reporters have had the flexibility to choose which articles they would like to write.
You will participate in weekly news team working bees where you can discuss your news pitches with our news editors and collaborate with other reporters. Our news editors have multiple years of journalism and reporting experience, and are always here to support you in every step of your news journalism journey — so feel free to chat to them anytime!

Visual Team
Our visual team is one of the core teams at ANU Observer. From visuals for our online news articles, to running our social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram, and creating impactful video stories around student life at the ANU, the Visual Team adds vibrancy and life to our news and storytelling.
This year, the Visual team is hiring for positions in graphic design, social media management, videography and video editing. Podcast Team
We also have a podcast, a 10-minute weekly recap of everything happening on ANU campus.
Time commitment usually is 30 mins to help us record a 10-minute podcast, and around 1 hour for any post-editing touch-ups. Experience with editing is desired, however minimal it might be, however, we can also help train you up to the job. If you have some experience with helping run podcasts, AV tech, get in contact with us!
